A pedestrian suffered severe personal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Route 103 in Sutton on Tuesday evening, according to New Hampshire State Police. At approximately 6:48 p.m. on November 18, 2025, Troop D troopers responded to reports that a woman walking along the westbound side of Route 103 had been struck by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

State Police determined that the suspect vehicle was an older-model Toyota sedan. Law enforcement agencies in the region were notified. With coordinated assistance from the Bradford Police Department and Newbury Police Department, officers located a 1994 Toyota Camry at a residence in Newbury with damage consistent with the collision. Troopers identified the driver who was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI and felony conduct after an accident.

Pedestrian crashes often cause life-altering injuries. National data from the NHTSA Pedestrian Safety Program shows that pedestrians are at extreme risk in collisions due to the lack of physical protection.

Victims should seek emergency medical evaluation, preserve clothing and personal effects, save all medical documentation, and avoid speaking with insurance companies before consulting counsel. Additional safety principles for pedestrians can be found on the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Pedestrian Safety Resources website.
